Preservation and protection of environment is the biggest challenge facing the world today. Consequently, the companies are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that they do not pursue profit at the expense of the environment. The customers, governments and communities want to use eco-friendly products and services to minimize or mitigate their effect on global environments. To help improve their performance in environmental arena, organizations implement Environmental Management Systems based on ISO 14001:2004 standard in order to improve their performance, demonstrate corporate social responsibility and reduce their carbon foot-prints.
Objective: This course aims to provide the essential skills associated with successful environmental audits and to provide full knowledge with which an auditor will be able to develop practical understanding of environmental issues, principles and practices to evaluate the system.
Contents: The course syllabus is approved by IMEA /IRCA UK. This is designed to impart an in-depth and professional level knowledge of the concepts related to environmental system and its’ auditing. These include briefly;

  • Identify appropriate environmental issues and demonstrate environmental awareness
  • Identify appropriate environmental aspects and legislations
  • Understand the purpose of, and identify, suitable methods for environmental aspects identification and emergency preparedness
  • Interpret the requirements of ISO 14001 in the context of an audit
  • Plan and conduct an audit in accordance with ISO 19011
  • Report the results of an audit, including writing valid, factual and value-added nonconformity reports
  • Undertake audit follow-up activities, including the evaluation of the effectiveness of corrective action.

With this objective in Vincotte International, in collaboration with its’ partners provides IMEA / IRCA accredited Lead Auditor course to help create higher level competency and auditing skills for environmental system in the organizations.
Course Material: The course material in form of a course folder will be given to each participant.
Course Certificate: Each participant passing examination will be entitled for a certificate.
Course Schedule and Venue: This course is conducted over 5 consecutive days in which participants must complete minimum 40 hours of instructional time and class work. This course is available to organizations in-house or through our public programs.
